Retirement and Exercise – They Travel Hand in Hand
Exercise will Profit you Tremendously in Retirement
There are lots of old folks around you who are already in retirement, some who are about to kick it in, and others who are only just about to retire. They sure have stories to tell, you know. Now is the smartest time to talk to them about retirement. They’ll tell you things you never would have thought of otherwise, and these things will help you prepare. Remember them.
A fun exercise that has fantastic aerobic value is riding a stand up paddle board
It is easy to get into that relaxation mode for retirement that a lot of people do within the first few months that they don’t have to hurry off to work again; but that feeling is dangerous to your health. Hate to read so melodramatic, but it’s real. Physical and mentally, you want to see that you still get a lot of action. Do whatever it takes to make that happen. To plan for your retirement, the first major step is to map out what you want to achieve. You could do this by listing everything down, consider where you would want to stay, what you would want to do and so on. This will help you have a focus
You wouldn’t be the first to retire, and you wouldn’t be the first to make a botch of it either. Or would you be one of the smart few, who would plan well and get to love their retirement? Your call.
A low fitness level is something that plagues a lot of old folks in retirement in the United States, and indeed across the surface of the globe. Certainly the old folks don’t like it too much either, but they must have done something wrong to get there in the first place. That is the something that I have come here to warn you off of: lack of exercise. Don’t do the same.
Don’t be one of those who sit’s down in old age – learn to ride a stand up paddle board and reap the rewards both physically and also emotionally. An inflatable stand up paddle board is ideal if you intend travelling as it does not take up much space when space is a premium.
You shouldn’t just resign yourself to nothing simply because you’re retired. You should find something doing, and it does not matter how simple or little that thing may seem. You’d be surprised that it’d keep you on point and help you appreciate yourself more in those declining years. Honest; you need it.
