Families, friends, and significant others around the world have all felt the effects of addictions. Confronting a friend or family member about dependency can be very intimidating, but drug addiction rehabilitation can ultimately make things alright again. Abuse
It can be so agonizing to see a loved one struggle with a drug or alcohol problem. Sometimes, however, an addiction is not apparent on the surface. There is a long list of other symptoms you should look out for, which can help you determine if a loved one is struggling with dependency. Physical and behavioral symptoms are equally as important. Physical symptoms include a sudden change in weight (increase or decrease), reds that are always red, a perpetually runny nose, or just looking sick. Behavioral symptoms include mood swings, anxiousness, and apathetic feelings.
Personality
A tell-tale symptom of addiction is personality change. Someone who is usually friendly and confident might appear depressed, antagonistic, or violent. Mood swings are a very prominent symptom of substance abuse, and as one could imagine, these mood swings are damaging to all different types of relationships. In addition, an addict might change the group they usually associate with, change how they dress, or grow distant from loved ones.
Addiction
Even though there is a long list of symptoms that can be attributed to alcohol or drug abuse, these symptoms might arise from other conditions,such as illness, depression, or anxiety. However, even if these issues might not necessarily lead to a diagnosis of addiction, they still require particular and continual attention. If the loved one starts showing worse, increased, or drastic changes in symptoms, then drugs might be the cause,and drug addiction treatment would be the next step.
Dependency

Helping the dependent person get back on their feet with the right amount of sympathy is important, but re-establishing their sense of control on life is equally, if not more, important.
